In the 4th minute Matthis Wouqier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norbert Terhorst saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcus Rompen succeeded in the game's 7th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. 12 minutes into the match, KSV Diksmuide's goal looked a bit too open when Joey Fouquet came free, but Norbert Terhorst reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Norbert Terhorst showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joey Fouquet, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. With a little luck, FC Xhendremael's Sander Switten got control of the ball when Regis Raeymakers tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sander Switten made an important save on a dangerous shot by Regis Raeymakers in the 18th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Sander Switten successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Rompen in the 21st minute of play forced FC Xhendremael's goalkeeper Sander Switten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 23rd minute of the match, Regis Raeymakers got a very nice opportunity to score, but Sander Switten was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Regis Raeymakers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Sander Switten made a huge save. Matty Weets might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sander Switten. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Matty Weets ran back to his position shaking his head. The long shot by Freek Bruynincx in the 43rd minute really tested Sander Switten's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 47th minute, Niel Colebrants ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Norbert Terhorst was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Charl Klinkenberg to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes, Marcus Rompen made it 3-1 with a short kick to the right side. FC Xhendremael's Sander Switten tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 57th minute of the match Freek Bruynincx shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sander Switten showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. KSV Diksmuide's Norbert Terhorst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charl Klinkenberg in the 60th minute of play. Sander Switten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Regis Raeymakers in the 62nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Joey Fouquet could shoot a difficult shot in the 64th minute, which Norbert Terhorst however easily saved by the left post. When Regis Raeymakers, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 66 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Sander Switten was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Sander Switten made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Regis Raeymakers in the 70th minute of play. Sander Switten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Regis Raeymakers, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. 71 minutes into the match, FC Xhendremael's goal looked a bit too open when Regis Raeymakers came free, but Sander Switten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sander Switten prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 78th minute, Dreas De Roest hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sander Switten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Regis Raeymakers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 83 minutes into the match, KSV Diksmuide's goalkeeper Norbert Terhorst had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Matthis Wouqier. Sander Switten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Regis Raeymakers, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. The supporters of KSV Diksmuide booed when FC Xhendremael was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesar Davus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boris Van Calster took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sander Switten. FC Xhendremael's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. KSV Diksmuide were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
