The supporters of KSV Purnode booed when Brasschaat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Max Salms didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marco Koppen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Frederic Mallecots made a huge save. Kristen Van Der Talen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alan Schol having to interfere. Frederic Mallecots took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simon Ceulemans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alan Schol came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Brasschaat's Kristen Van Der Talen. But to his dismay, Kristen Van Der Talen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Brasschaat's Kristen Van Der Talen got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kristen Van Der Talen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alan Schol having to make a save. In the 83rd minute, Marco Koppen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frederic Mallecots was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Simon Ceulemans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Simon Ceulemans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Frederic Mallecots tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Brasschaat manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing KSV Purnode to win.
