Spectators: 6719 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Simon Ceulemans kicked off to start the match. KSV Purnode's Alan Schol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enzo Herinckx in the 6th minute of play. Steven Ryckeboer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Alan Schol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the KSV Purnode defense, Steven Ryckeboer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alan Schol. The KSV Purnode fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alan Schol should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in KSV Purnode's zone, Enzo Herinckx stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alan Schol came out of the goal and Enzo Herinckx tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alan Schol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enzo Herinckx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. KSV Purnode's Simon Ceulemans got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Enzo Herinckx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Enzo Herinckx in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alan Schol saved KSV Purnode from getting behind. Vince Schols recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alan Schol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steven Ryckeboer, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Enzo Herinckx notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of KSV Purnode's Alan Schol. Alan Schol was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Steven Ryckeboer to strike the kick off in the second half. Simon Ceulemans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 64 in the game by Enzo Herinckx from a close distance when the talented Alan Schol managed to make a qualified save. KSV Purnode's players were relieved. Axl Galioet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfried Van Lint, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Koppen in the 68th minute of play forced The Grass Shotters's goalkeeper Axl Galioet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Enzo Herinckx sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alan Schol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steven Ryckeboer in the 76th minute of the match. In the 80thth minute of the game Enzo Herinckx who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KSV Purnode's Alan Schol was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Enzo Herinckx didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-3 via right post in the game's 80th minute. The Grass Shotters's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! When The Grass Shotters's Steven Ryckeboer in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KSV Purnode's goalie prevented a goal. In the 86th minute, The Grass Shotters's Steven Ryckeboer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. In the 88th minute Enzo Herinckx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alan Schol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in KSV Purnode's zone, Steven Ryckeboer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alan Schol came out of the goal and Steven Ryckeboer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Steven Ryckeboer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Alan Schol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Enzo Herinckx managed to get in a good position for a shot. The Grass Shotters's supporters rose to their feet, but Enzo Herinckx was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alan Schol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 95th minute, Vince Schols hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Grass Shotters played a much better game than KSV Purnode and deserved their victory. The KSV Purnode players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
