The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kenneth Voet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Bass De Ceijser tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Florian Quvelirs made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sofronio Cambero in the 9th minute. In the 10th minute, ★★★ FC Punani ★★★'s Timothy Van Den Broeck ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Florian Quvelirs. Florian Quvelirs yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axell Vuerinx in the 15th minute of play forced F.C. Poppel's goalkeeper Florian Quvelirs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Sofronio Cambero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kristof Naegels recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacque Dewitte hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, F.C. Poppel's Marek Krzynowek got a free kick in the 27th minute. After recieving a nice pass, ★★★ FC Punani ★★★'s Wit Nienajadlo tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When F.C. Poppel's Kristof Naegels in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Florian Quvelirs showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Philippe De Hond in the 31st minute of the match.

Poppel's goal looked a bit too open when Timothy Van Den Broeck came free, but Florian Quvelirs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. F.C. Poppel's Florian Quvelirs played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Philippe De Hond in the 56th minute of play. Sofronio Cambero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wit Nienajadlo in the 59th minute of play forced F.C. Poppel's goalkeeper Florian Quvelirs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, F.C. Poppel's goal looked a bit too open when Philippe De Hond came free, but Florian Quvelirs reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of F.C. Florian Quvelirs breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Florian Quvelirs took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sofronio Cambero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 83 played minutes ★★★ FC Punani ★★★ got a freekick which was hit by Philippe De Hond. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sofronio Cambero in the 87th minute of play forced F.C. Poppel's goalkeeper Florian Quvelirs to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florian Quvelirs made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sofronio Cambero in the 88th minute of play. Sofronio Cambero took the ball and in the 91 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Florian Quvelirs. Florian Quvelirs dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After a defensive mix-up in F.C. Poppel's zone, Axell Vuerinx stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florian Quvelirs came out of the goal and Axell Vuerinx tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ★★★ FC Punani ★★★ fans cheered their team off the field, for while F.C. Poppel had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
