Spectators: 7465 (Terracing: 5600, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 149) FC Torenhof's Jeremy De Graef started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 2 played minutes Ascension got a freekick which was hit by Yu Yu Chang. Dirk Van de Putt kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Florian Masi kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 12th minute Hilario Mambru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filiberto Sayveon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ascension's Bart-Jan Wuets got a free kick in the 14th minute. Pavel Catala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roy de Reyck kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Yu Yu Chang blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rudy Wynant having to make a save. Filiberto Sayveon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeremy De Graef, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robrecht Van de Velde's late challenge caught a Ascension's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robrecht Van de Velde helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, FC Torenhof's Robrecht Van de Velde got a free kick in the 32nd minute. The goalkeeper, Rudy Wynant, was totally fooled by Ascension's Yu Yu Chang, who 36 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yu Yu Chang stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rudy Wynant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Yu Yu Chang's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Filiberto Sayveon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremy De Graef in the 55th minute of play. Jim Hauwaerts scored 2-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rudy Wynant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Yu Yu Chang kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Filiberto Sayveon made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Jeremy De Graef sent off a good shot on target. 77 minutes into the game, Jim Hauwaerts was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ascension's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Torenhof the free kick. Jim Hauwaerts hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute, Pavel Catala hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonas Van Engelen lost his temper 89 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 89 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ascension! When the match had been going on for 92 minutes, FC Torenhof's Jan-Pieter Styles got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Filiberto Sayveon. FC Torenhof's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Ascension had won, even though FC Torenhof had held more of the ball.
