Bruxelles's goal looked a bit too open when Stanny Smolders came free, but Lucas Vanden Bossche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. R.R.C. Bruxelles's Lucas Vanden Bossche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stanny Smolders in the 7th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, R.R.C. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jacky Pieters to make the kick off. Lucas Vanden Bossche was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nicolas Stroobant showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 51 minute of play. Laurenz Valcke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Lucas Vanden Bossche made a huge save. After 59 minutes, Jacky Pieters made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. fc KuT's Freddy Baeyens tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bruxelles was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrez Wolput didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 65 minutes, Lucas Vanden Bossche successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. R.R.C. Bruxelles's Jacky Pieters got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 70 minutes into the game, R.R.C. Laurenz Valcke succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-4 in the 87th playminute. In the 96th minute, Stanny Smolders reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lucas Vanden Bossche. The goal made the score 4-5. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched fc KuT eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
