Spectators: 7223 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) 9 minutes into the match, Chevetogne's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Van den Berghe came free, but Tibaut De Roover reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ief Geeraerts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute, Ief Geeraerts fired away a shot that was totally unreachable for Jacobus Weijnandts. The ball ended up just outside the left post, and Chevetogne's manager could be seen angrily pacing the sidelines. Ief Geeraerts succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 24th playminute. If Sylven De Clerk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Ief Geeraerts put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jacobus Weijnandts. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sylven De Clerk in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobus Weijnandts prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 45 minutes, Ian Van den Berghe mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Geraardsbergen and the Chevetogne players grew even worse after the yellow card. Chevetogne's Ief Geeraerts got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ian Van den Berghe to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Chevetogne got a freekick which was hit by Konstantin Mayer. After having played for 52 minutes, Matthew Neels managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Geraardsbergen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matthew Neels was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Amaury Verschelde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobus Weijnandts having to interfere. When Jacq Haelemans came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Chevetogne fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacq Haelemans couldn't finish the play. In the 58th minute, Mike De Deygere hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the game, Chevetogne's Sylven De Clerk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jacobus Weijnandts made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ief Geeraerts in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 82nd minute Ief Geeraerts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobus Weijnandts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute, Sylven De Clerk made a precise shot to the right of Jacobus Weijnandts. Geraardsbergen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Ian Van den Berghe hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Chevetogne's Oscar Milters got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Maurice Gielens hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Chevetogne's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
