Fred Van Deijck's late challenge caught a Musson's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fred Van Deijck helped the player get up and apologised. After 2 played minutes KAA Assesse got a freekick which was hit by Fred Van Deijck. Rik Dhollander scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jens vrolijx, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Glen Depelsmaker managed to get in a good position for a shot. KAA Assesse's supporters rose to their feet, but Glen Depelsmaker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Herve Meynen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Marc Van Doren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in KAA Assesse's zone, Rik Dhollander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jens vrolijx came out of the goal and Rik Dhollander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Musson's Marc Van Doren in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KAA Assesse's goalie prevented a goal. 21 minutes into the game, Senne Verhofstadt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Musson's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KAA Assesse the free kick. Senne Verhofstadt hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Stanny De Munck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Glen Depelsmaker managed to get in a good position for a shot. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Glen Depelsmaker couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute, Senne Verhofstadt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 32 played minutes Musson got a freekick which was hit by Senne Verhofstadt. 35 minutes into the match, Glen Depelsmaker notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Musson's Herve Meynen. Herve Meynen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Rik Dhollander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stanny De Munck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Herve Meynen having to interfere. If Stanny De Munck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 45th minute, Diederick Rousseau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The wind increased when Stanny De Munck made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute KAA Assesse were awarded a corner. Marten Van Cleijnenbruegel went to the cornerflag to take it. Herve Meynen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stanny De Munck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rik Dhollander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Remie Buelens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rik Dhollander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rik Dhollander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rik Dhollander was extremely unlucky when he, in the 74th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a defensive mix-up in KAA Assesse's zone, Marc Van Doren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jens vrolijx came out of the goal and Marc Van Doren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marc Van Doren charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marc Van Doren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th match minute, Musson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marc Van Doren to maneuver through the defense. Rik Dhollander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Jens vrolijx tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rik Dhollander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens vrolijx having to interfere. Musson were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
