Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) FC Rumst's Artuur Van Hoegaerden started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 2 minutes into the game, one of FC Rumst:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Gabriel Van Langhendonck hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. FC Rumst's Gregoire Allaert got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Poels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfried Van De Broeck having to interfere. When Jullian Kempenaerts fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Rumst's protests and gave Jullian Kempenaerts a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th minute, Jullian Kempenaerts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Rumst's goalkeeper Wilfried Van De Broeck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Robbe Pluijssens received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wilfried Van De Broeck came out and tried to block the shot, but Robbe Pluijssens slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 33rd minute. FC Rumst's Wilfried Van De Broeck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jullian De Poorter in the 44th minute of play. Wilfried Van De Broeck didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Poels went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jullian De Poorter to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jullian De Poorter in the 54th minute of play forced FC Rumst's goalkeeper Wilfried Van De Broeck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of kcs-Machelen booed when FC Rumst was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artuur Van Hoegaerden didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gregoire Allaert could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Olof Bodin made a huge save. 67 minutes into the game, kcs-Machelen's Daniel Poels nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilfried Van De Broeck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. When Daniel Poels came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the kcs-Machelen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Poels couldn't finish the play. After 81st play minutes Daniel Poels shot 5-0, a short shot which went by Wilfried Van De Broeck and just under the crossbar into goal. Wilfried Van De Broeck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matt La Rose, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to kcs-Machelen getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Dimitry Van Geele hit a great ball.
