Kv.Kerkhove's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jean-Louis Krabbe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 37 minutes into the game, CHELSEA FC's Eric Van Doren nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Andrez Hemberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 42nd minute Anthoon Weijnandts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gunther Van Beersel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, CHELSEA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Simon De Kerper came free, but Gunther Van Beersel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. CHELSEA FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 95th minute, when Corneel Vermeesch scored to the left of an out of position Gunther Van Beersel, making the score, 3-6. The CHELSEA FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Kv.Kerkhove were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
