Spectators: 7479 (Terracing: 5611, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 149) AFC Tongerlo's Kenny Vergau started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute, Oscar De Weijngaert got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Tongerlo's zone, Pino Spoelberch stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tony Van Boekost came out of the goal and Pino Spoelberch tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpected shot in the 8th minute by Stephen De Beer got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Tony Van Boekost showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar De Weijngaert in the 9th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Pino Spoelberch managed to get in a good position for a shot. K. Olsa Brakel's supporters rose to their feet, but Pino Spoelberch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tony Van Boekost breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kenny Vergau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martin Van Clijnenbreugel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenny Vergau in the 18th minute of the match. Tony Van Boekost made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stephen De Beer in the 20th minute. K. Olsa Brakel's Stephen De Beer got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, K. Olsa Brakel's Anthony De Hondt got a free kick in the 25th minute. Martin Van Clijnenbreugel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenny Vergau, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 28 minutes into the match, K. Olsa Brakel's goal looked a bit too open when Leon Buyck came free, but Martin Van Clijnenbreugel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Peter-Jan De Jonge kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Oscar De Weijngaert's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tony Van Boekost was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Oscar De Weijngaert in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tony Van Boekost prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37th minute, Stephen De Beer fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. AFC Tongerlo's Tony Van Boekost proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save AFC Tongerlo from getting a goal against them. Tony Van Boekost made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Oscar De Weijngaert sent off a good shot on target. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oscar De Weijngaert to make the kick off. The supporters of K. Olsa Brakel booed when AFC Tongerlo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rene Van Dongel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wesley Hennes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tony Van Boekost. AFC Tongerlo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 68th minute, Dimitry Rouvroys left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The K. Olsa Brakel fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 77th minute Oscar De Weijngaert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Van Boekost saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
