Spectators: 6716 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mats Antheunis took the kick off in the first half of the match. Jeffrey Baeten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Robbrecht Leemans, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. FC Bruges were awarded a corner in the 6th minute after Singelberg's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Thomas Van Hallebeecke took the corner. The corner ended in Thomas Van Hallebeecke almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Singelberg's Jeffrey Baeten did a great save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claude Pelsmaeckers during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 8 played minutes Singelberg got a freekick which was hit by Claude Pelsmaeckers. In the 9th minute, Ted Hansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mats Antheunis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute Arturo Laurgain shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeffrey Baeten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claude Pelsmaeckers got free with Philippe Uijtterhoven in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 17th minute Mats Antheunis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeffrey Baeten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeffrey Baeten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Laurgain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 20th minute, Mats Antheunis made a precise shot to the right of Jeffrey Baeten. Singelberg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Robbrecht Leemans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Jeffrey Baeten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeffrey Baeten showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mats Antheunis in the 25th minute of the match. Robbrecht Leemans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeffrey Baeten didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mats Antheunis went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mats Antheunis in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jeffrey Baeten prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Arturo Laurgain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 42 minutes into the game, Dieter Van den Berge was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Singelberg's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Bruges the free kick. Dieter Van den Berge hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After 47 played minutes Singelberg got a freekick which was hit by Jakob van Elderen.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dieter Van den Berge to make the kick off. If Thomas Van Hallebeecke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Singelberg's Jeffrey Baeten got control of the ball when Thomas Van Hallebeecke tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 59th minute Mats Antheunis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeffrey Baeten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Singelberg's Jeffrey Baeten played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ludwig Rondas in the 61st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Mats Antheunis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeffrey Baeten was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. 65 minutes into the game, Mats Antheunis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jeffrey Baeten. Mats Antheunis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. If Robbrecht Leemans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 74 played minutes FC Bruges got a freekick which was hit by Ted Hansson. Jeffrey Baeten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mats Antheunis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Claude Pelsmaeckers was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 77 minutes had been played. A collision led to Singelberg getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Claude Pelsmaeckers hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Mats Antheunis put it in 0-5 from a short distance just to the right of Jeffrey Baeten. Jeffrey Baeten made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andris Sneijers in the 89th minute. Jef Minnen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robbrecht Leemans kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. The Singelberg fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Bruges were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
