The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lorenzo Van Cauwenberg hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Danny Vischkens's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robbe Coosemans was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 19th minute, Danny Vischkens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Danny Vischkens in the 24th minute of play forced Royal In Burst's goalkeeper Robbe Coosemans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Royal In Burst defense, Rudy Huts kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robbe Coosemans. The Royal In Burst fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robbe Coosemans should have stopped the shot. Guillaume Enfant kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Rudy Huts struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Robbe Coosemans didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FCVV Tildonk. Robbe Coosemans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudy Huts, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. In the 38th match minute, FCVV Tildonk was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ludwig Ingelborchs to maneuver through the defense. The Royal In Burst players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FCVV Tildonk were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Danny Vischkens stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes, Royal In Burst's Pierre Christiaens shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jo Maseur came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Royal In Burst reached it. Danny Vischkens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the match, FCVV Tildonk's goal looked a bit too open when Guust Voets came free, but Jo Maseur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
