Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edward Van Haerschot started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Eike Strond got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 3 minutes into the match, Comblain-au-Pont's goal looked a bit too open when Eike Strond came free, but Theo Swings reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Comblain-au-Pont fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 9th minute. Penalty! In the 11th minute there was a penalty for Babs & Els Girls FC. Stefan Gramet stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Theo Swings. 0-1. After having played for 15 minutes, Edward Van Haerschot managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Comblain-au-Pont's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edward Van Haerschot was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Babs & Els Girls FC's Gregoire Turpin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Theo Swings narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 23 minutes, Henri-Patrick Dhondt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Babs & Els Girls FC and the Comblain-au-Pont players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 24 played minutes Babs & Els Girls FC got a freekick which was hit by Henri-Patrick Dhondt. Edward Van Haerschot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Imbrechts having to interfere. Babs & Els Girls FC's Erik Imbrechts proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Babs & Els Girls FC from getting a goal against them. Edward Van Haerschot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aime Van Brussel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 36th minute, Stefan Gramet sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Comblain-au-Pont's Theo Swings didn't even have to move. Babs & Els Girls FC's Eike Strond got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Erik Imbrechts was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edward Van Haerschot showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 46 minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 52nd minute, Eike Strond got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 58 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Comblain-au-Pont! After 70 minutes, Andreas Uijterhoven mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Comblain-au-Pont and the Babs & Els Girls FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd minute Gregoire Turpin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Theo Swings saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Babs & Els Girls FC's Eike Strond was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Theo Swings in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Eike Strond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theo Swings having to interfere. With a little luck, Comblain-au-Pont's Theo Swings got control of the ball when Henri-Patrick Dhondt tried to sneak it across the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, Babs & Els Girls FC's Eike Strond nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Theo Swings made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Comblain-au-Pont's goalkeeper Theo Swings, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Comblain-au-Pont's Aime Van Brussel in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Babs & Els Girls FC's goalie prevented a goal. 96 minutes into the match, Babs & Els Girls FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edward Van Haerschot came free, but Erik Imbrechts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Babs & Els Girls FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Babs & Els Girls FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
