Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tommie Reynders took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathieu Balckmans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mathieu Balckmans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommie Reynders having to interfere. Tommie Reynders made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Ryan Van der Loock sent off a good shot on target. When Mathieu Balckmans came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Bornem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mathieu Balckmans couldn't finish the play. In the 17th minute, Mathieu Balckmans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ian Beetens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Ignace Van Craesbeeck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Bertrand Kockaerts hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 36 minutes, Mathieu Balckmans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bornem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mathieu Balckmans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ryan Van der Loock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommie Reynders having to interfere. In the 46th match minute, Boezinge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Goorts to maneuver through the defense. Gilliam Verdun succeeded in the game's 48th minute to get real power on a long shot . Boezinge's Tommie Reynders hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 2-0! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mathieu Balckmans to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Ian Beetens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Boezinge's supporters rose to their feet, but Ian Beetens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ignace Van Craesbeeck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Ian Beetens put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Ignace Van Craesbeeck. 61 minutes into the match, Boezinge's Armand Van Caubergen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ignace Van Craesbeeck narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Ignace Van Craesbeeck successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ian Beetens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ignace Van Craesbeeck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Armand Van Caubergen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ignace Van Craesbeeck was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Armand Van Caubergen succeeded in the game's 74th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-2. Bornem's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ian Beetens was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. If Ian Beetens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Boezinge walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
