Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jorn Kints started the match with the kick off. Gustave De Hondt took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Johannes Van De Broeck. Johannes Van De Broeck dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Broakel's goal looked a bit too open when Jorn Kints came free, but Joop Gielis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gustave De Hondt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Johannes Van De Broeck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Joop Gielis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Theo Du Molin in the 25th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustave De Hondt in the 31st minute of play forced SC Tournai's goalkeeper Johannes Van De Broeck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Broakel's Gustave De Hondt in the 32nd minute got a chance for a shot 32nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Tournai's goalie prevented a goal. Jeoffrey Engels sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeoffrey Engels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Johannes Van De Broeck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustave De Hondt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Van De Broeck having to interfere. Johannes Van De Broeck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeoffrey Engels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the game, Kurt Van Linthaudt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Tournai's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Broakel the free kick. Gustave De Hondt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Johannes Van De Broeck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The supporters of Broakel booed when SC Tournai was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Van Linthaudt didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 59 played minutes Broakel got a freekick which was hit by Jeoffrey Engels. In the 61st minute, Jorn Kints left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Tournai fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Jeoffrey Engels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Johannes Van De Broeck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Tournai's Johannes Van De Broeck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustave De Hondt in the 66th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Jeoffrey Engels fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Johannes Van De Broeck, passed just outside the right post. Jeoffrey Engels blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Johannes Van De Broeck having to make a save. Jeoffrey Engels might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Johannes Van De Broeck. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jeoffrey Engels ran back to his position shaking his head. Gustave De Hondt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Maxim-Alexander Van Goolen's late challenge caught a SC Tournai's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maxim-Alexander Van Goolen helped the player get up and apologised. Jeoffrey Engels fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Van De Broeck having to interfere. Johannes Van De Broeck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustave De Hondt, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. In the 90th match minute, Broakel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeoffrey Engels to maneuver through the defense. Gustave De Hondt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeoffrey Engels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Johannes Van De Broeck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
