Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gustave De Hondt started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute, Rob Lievens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joop Gielis was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Ruud Vandewalle fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Broakel's protests and gave Ruud Vandewalle a yellow card for diving instead. Ruud Vandewalle hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 11th minute, Rob Lievens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustave De Hondt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bas Van Cleijnenbreughel having to interfere. Jeoffrey Engels came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Bas Van Cleijnenbreughel could save by the left post. 19 minutes into the game, Jeoffrey Engels cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Bas Van Cleijnenbreughel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gustave De Hondt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bas Van Cleijnenbreughel having to interfere. Bas Van Cleijnenbreughel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustave De Hondt in the 29th minute of the match. Ruud Vandewalle kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Joop Gielis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rob Lievens, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 42nd minute, Gustave De Hondt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rob Lievens to make the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Joop Gielis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 54th play minute Manoel Baiano came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Joop Gielis. 2-2. If Gustave De Hondt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, F.C.Stratus Kortenbos's goal looked a bit too open when Gustave De Hondt came free, but Bas Van Cleijnenbreughel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. F.C.Stratus Kortenbos's Bas Van Cleijnenbreughel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeoffrey Engels in the 64th minute of play. After 64 played minutes F.C.Stratus Kortenbos got a freekick which was hit by Abraham Baert. Philipp Waegemans hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Jeoffrey Engels struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Bas Van Cleijnenbreughel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Broakel. Bas Van Cleijnenbreughel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustave De Hondt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joop Gielis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rob Lievens in the 75th minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Broakel's goal looked a bit too open when Rob Lievens came free, but Joop Gielis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joop Gielis made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manoel Baiano in the 81st minute. In the 87th minute Gustave De Hondt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bas Van Cleijnenbreughel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 89th minute of the match Broakel got a corner. F.C.Stratus Kortenbos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bruno Roosendael ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Broakel's corner Bruno Roosendael fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bas Van Cleijnenbreughel quite easily take care of the ball. 97 minutes into the match, Manoel Baiano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joop Gielis. Broakel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Manoel Baiano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. F.C.Stratus Kortenbos were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Broakel's much stronger midfield.
