Assent 's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sven Van Beringhen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wart Ketelers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guy Van Hove in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute, Sven Van Beringhen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeroen Sliepers hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Wart Ketelers made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Guy Van Hove sent off a good shot on target. Jaspar Dewolf charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaspar Dewolf the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 15th minute of the match, Jeroen Sliepers tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wart Ketelers saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. FC Zonhoven's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Bill Van Dessel scored to the left of an out of position Wart Ketelers, making the score, 1-0. Sven Van Beringhen received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wart Ketelers came out and tried to block the shot, but Sven Van Beringhen slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 21st minute. Sven Van Beringhen did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Wart Ketelers 29 minutes into the match. Kieth De Leger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benne Teurfs in the 34th minute of play. Wart Ketelers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeroen Sliepers in the 40th minute of play. Assent 's Kieth De Leger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Van Den Broek in the 41st minute of play. In the 44th minute of the match Brent van Eijnde sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kieth De Leger skillfully saved the ball. Jorre Rockloos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kieth De Leger having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

Benne Teurfs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kieth De Leger having to interfere. Bill Van Dessel took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wart Ketelers. Wart Ketelers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. A hard shot 62 in the game by Benne Teurfs from a close distance when the talented Kieth De Leger managed to make a qualified save. Assent 's players were relieved. Wart Ketelers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bill Van Dessel in the 64th minute of play. In the 66th minute Guy Van Hove shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wart Ketelers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Zonhoven's Wart Ketelers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guy Van Hove in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Carel Van der Weijden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Assent 's Sven Van Beringhen in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Wart Ketelers came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by Assent 's Sven Van Beringhen. But to his dismay, Sven Van Beringhen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0.
