Kaká Juniors short, quick shot in the 3rdth minute got Oswald Milters to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Didier Van Lueven sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tim Gheysen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gustave De Werdt having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Didier Van Lueven ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Oswald Milters was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Kaká Junior struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Oswald Milters didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KFC Meulebeke. After 16 played minutes KFC Meulebeke got a freekick which was hit by Jacob Calstermans. KFC Meulebeke's Didier Van Lueven got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Didier Van Lueven took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oswald Milters. Oswald Milters dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 26th minute, Didier Van Lueven left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KFC Meulebeke fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Didier Van Lueven's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Oswald Milters firmly grabbed it by the left post. Oswald Milters made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Kaká Junior sent off a good shot on target. In the 33rd minute, Manuel Rijmenans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kaká Junior could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Oswald Milters made a huge save. Manuel Rijmenans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oswald Milters was a little too slow when Kaká Junior got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ief Servranckx was the one to do the kick off. After 55 minutes, Kaká Junior made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Zonnegem 's Oswald Milters tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Zonnegem getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Bastian Decorte hit a great ball. Simon Suteweij charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Simon Suteweij the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Zonnegem :s Oswald Milters showed great skill when he stopped Manuel Rijmenans:s penalty. Constant De Vleeschauwer's late challenge caught a KFC Meulebeke's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Constant De Vleeschauwer helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Zonnegem getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Constant De Vleeschauwer hit a great ball. In the 98th minute Kaká Junior shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswald Milters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. KFC Meulebeke had played much better football throughout.
