Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rein Opdebeeck got the match started through his kick off. Giovanny Meulemans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luckas Dierickx in the 3rd minute of the match. In the 5th minute Rein Opdebeeck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giovanny Meulemans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th match minute, FC Boomerang was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karel Leyman to maneuver through the defense. FC Boomerang's Giovanny Meulemans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rein Opdebeeck in the 11th minute of play. Guust Tael came free with the goalkeeper in the 23rd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Herve Stessel could save by the left post. Giovanny Meulemans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rein Opdebeeck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute, Eddy Justens made a precise shot to the right of Giovanny Meulemans. FC Boomerang's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Herve Stessel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Theo Van Bever in the 34th minute. In the 38th match minute, FC Boomerang was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dante Sloeve to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute of the match Jerome Coomans shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Giovanny Meulemans showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a little luck, Triquetra AFC's Herve Stessel got control of the ball when Guust Tael tried to sneak it across the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, FC Boomerang's goal looked a bit too open when Quillian Stessel came free, but Giovanny Meulemans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 46 played minutes FC Boomerang got a freekick which was hit by Klaus Roeckeloes. After the first half Triquetra AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Theo Van Bever was the one to do the kick off. Herve Stessel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guust Tael, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. The supporters of FC Boomerang booed when Triquetra AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerome Coomans didn't get a good kick on the ball. 65 minutes into the game, Cedrik Latomme was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Boomerang's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Triquetra AFC the free kick. In the 65th match minute, FC Boomerang was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cedrik Latomme to maneuver through the defense. When Jorre Van Bever fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Triquetra AFC's protests and gave Jorre Van Bever a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd minute of the match, Luckas Dierickx tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Giovanny Meulemans saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. A collision led to FC Boomerang getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Karel Leyman hit a great ball. Dante Sloeve hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Herve Stessel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theo Van Bever, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 81 minutes into the match, FC Boomerang's goal looked a bit too open when Eddy Justens came free, but Giovanny Meulemans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herve Stessel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Theo Van Bever's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. In the 86th minute FC Boomerang were awarded a corner. Guust Tael went to the cornerflag to take it. After a defensive mix-up in FC Boomerang's zone, Luckas Dierickx stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giovanny Meulemans came out of the goal and Luckas Dierickx tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guust Tael recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Giovanny Meulemans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luckas Dierickx, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Triquetra AFC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
