Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bruno Roofhoof started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Alain De Meyer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guust Tael in the 4th minute. 10 minutes into the game, Oxelaer's Sylvain Hollants nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Giovanny Meulemans made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After 13 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Oxelaer! Guust Tael placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! When the match clock showed 16 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Theo Van Bever sped through Oxelaer's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alain De Meyer. Giovanny Meulemans showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marc Stuyck, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. After 23 played minutes Oxelaer got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Roofhoof. In the 28th minute, Karel Leyman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oxelaer's Alain De Meyer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tim Coomans in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Roofhoof in the 33rd minute of play forced FC Boomerang's goalkeeper Giovanny Meulemans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeffery Van Den Eynden charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeffery Van Den Eynden the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 37th match minute, Oxelaer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeffery Van Den Eynden to maneuver through the defense. Guust Tael recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alain De Meyer made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Guust Tael sent off a good shot on target. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Theo Van Bever to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Joannes Van Lancker during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Joannes Van Lancker hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Alain De Meyer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Theo Van Bever went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Bruno Roofhoof sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeffery Van Den Eynden took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Giovanny Meulemans. Giovanny Meulemans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Giovanny Meulemans made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Sylvain Hollants sent off a good shot on target. If Theo Van Bever had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Boomerang's Giovanny Meulemans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Roofhoof in the 79th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Oxelaer's zone, Guust Tael stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alain De Meyer came out of the goal and Guust Tael tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henri Fraes tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Alain De Meyer. An unnecessary self made goal, 3-3 in the 89th minute. Guust Tael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
