Spectators: 7100 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Werner Angilles kicked off to start the match. After 6 minutes of play, The Legends's Henri-Patrick de Pelsmaecker made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Pieter Van de Put was left in no man's land by his defense there! Walter Bruynincx took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pieter Van de Put. AFC Volkswelvaart's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 15th match minute, The Legends was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boris Gijselinx to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Hillar Harand successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Hillar Harand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Douglas Lambert in the 20th minute of play. Werner Angilles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pieter Van de Put having to interfere. Henri-Patrick de Pelsmaecker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Pieter Van de Put tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, AFC Volkswelvaart's goal looked a bit too open when Werner Angilles came free, but Pieter Van de Put reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tommie Spoelberghe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Tommie Spoelberghe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 52nd minute, Boris Gijselinx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute Tommie Spoelberghe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hillar Harand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tommie Spoelberghe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hillar Harand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joop Jenken, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joop Jenken sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Volkswelvaart's zone, Henri-Patrick de Pelsmaecker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pieter Van de Put came out of the goal and Henri-Patrick de Pelsmaecker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute Werner Angilles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pieter Van de Put saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joop Jenken fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hillar Harand having to interfere. Hillar Harand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tommie Spoelberghe in the 78th minute of play. When The Legends's Werner Angilles in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AFC Volkswelvaart's goalie prevented a goal. Tommie Spoelberghe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Hillar Harand tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
