Matt Libreghts's late challenge caught a Ostend United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matt Libreghts helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Wings Of Destiny's Matt Libreghts got a free kick in the 4th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Morreels in the 9th minute of play forced Ostend United's goalkeeper Reinaert Van de Wal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Wings Of Destiny's Christoph De Meijer got a free kick in the 10th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Bastiaan Dekens managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ostend United's supporters rose to their feet, but Bastiaan Dekens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeroen Valkeneers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oswald De Vaddere in the 13th minute of play forced Wings Of Destiny's goalkeeper Jeroen Valkeneers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Oswald De Vaddere scored 1-0 in the 15th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeroen Valkeneers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jacq Van den Hoff got free with Jeroen Valkeneers in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wouter Van Aken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Jeroen Valkeneers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matt Libreghts got his second yellow card in the match during the 32nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 32nd match minute, Wings Of Destiny was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matt Libreghts to maneuver through the defense. Jeroen Valkeneers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oswald De Vaddere in the 35th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Oswald De Vaddere managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ostend United's supporters rose to their feet, but Oswald De Vaddere was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeroen Valkeneers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 39 minutes into the match, Wings Of Destiny's goal looked a bit too open when Oswald De Vaddere came free, but Jeroen Valkeneers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patrick De Baere recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ostend United's Reinaert Van de Wal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Morreels in the 43rd minute of play. Jeroen Valkeneers made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Oswald De Vaddere sent off a good shot on target. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Ostend United's Oswald De Vaddere got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 54 minutes, Wouter Van Aken managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ostend United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wouter Van Aken was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Oswald De Vaddere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 62nd minute, Patrick De Baere hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Oswald De Vaddere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ostend United's Oswald De Vaddere in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wings Of Destiny's goalie prevented a goal. Wings Of Destiny's David Morreels got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 82 minutes into the game, Geert Van Eersel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ostend United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wings Of Destiny the free kick. Geert Van Eersel hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After 85 played minutes Ostend United got a freekick which was hit by Bastiaan Dekens. Florian Van Caels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Jeroen Valkeneers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jeroen Valkeneers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Oswald De Vaddere's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute. When the referee ended the match the Ostend United players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
