Spectators: 6716 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1716, VIP seats: 0) Borgloon's Etienne Vanneste started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Borgloon's zone, Franky Koten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alan Sliepers came out of the goal and Franky Koten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ben Servranckx received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Alan Sliepers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. FC Futur's Arend De Weijngaerden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Etienne Vanneste in the 12th minute of play. FC Futur's Ben Servranckx got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 16 minutes, Jesse Tombuer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Borgloon and the FC Futur players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 played minutes Borgloon got a freekick which was hit by Jesse Tombuer. Alan Sliepers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franky Koten in the 21st minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Ben Servranckx hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arend De Weijngaerden made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Dre De Cerpel sent off a good shot on target. In the 31stth minute of the game Franky Koten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Borgloon's Alan Sliepers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Franky Koten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. FC Futur's Franky Koten got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Futur's Ben Servranckx got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ben Servranckx recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfred Vaes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Alan Sliepers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A very good chance. 82 minutes into the match, FC Futur's goal looked a bit too open when Etienne Vanneste came free, but Arend De Weijngaerden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Franky Koten succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-5 in the 84th playminute. FC Futur's Arend De Weijngaerden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dre De Cerpel in the 88th minute of play. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Futur! In the 93rd minute there was a penalty for Borgloon. Robert Van Acker stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Arend De Weijngaerden. 1-5. After some careless play in the FC Futur defense, Dre De Cerpel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Arend De Weijngaerden. The FC Futur fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Arend De Weijngaerden should have stopped the shot. Arend De Weijngaerden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dre De Cerpel in the 99th minute of play. FC Futur's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
