The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Artuur Maenhout showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pamel's Artuur Maenhout played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dany Vranken in the 6th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Pamel's goal looked a bit too open when Joey Straetmans came free, but Artuur Maenhout reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jaspar Libreghts charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jaspar Libreghts the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Pamel getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Henri Samyn made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Jaspar Libreghts sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Dany Vranken's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Artuur Maenhout was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. After having played for 23 minutes, Joey Straetmans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pamel's Artuur Maenhout played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dany Vranken in the 39th minute of play. 43 minutes into the game, Offagne's Luk Quinet nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Artuur Maenhout made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Dany Vranken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Artuur Maenhout tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
