The ball went over the crossbar instead. 18 minutes into the game, Pamel's Jaspar Libreghts nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Billy Van Collenborgh made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Davy Van Leemputten in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. After 31 minutes of play, chappies's Oliver Cortens made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Artuur Maenhout was left in no man's land by his defense there! Billy Van Collenborgh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marnix Van De Putts, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 36th minute, Oliver Cortens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Artuur Maenhout was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. Artuur Maenhout took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davy Van Leemputten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicolaas Van Havent to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Jaspar Libreghts was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pamel's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave chappies the free kick. Jaspar Libreghts kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Oliver Cortens could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Artuur Maenhout made a huge save. 55 minutes into the game, Marnix Van De Putts cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Billy Van Collenborgh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 58th minute Jaspar Libreghts shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Billy Van Collenborgh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Oliver Cortens managed to get in a good position for a shot. chappies's supporters rose to their feet, but Oliver Cortens was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artuur Maenhout breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oliver Cortens got free with Artuur Maenhout in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pamel's Artuur Maenhout proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Pamel from getting a goal against them. After 65 minutes, Antonio Stuycken mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the chappies and the Pamel players grew even worse after the yellow card. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in chappies reached it.
