Arlon's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Basiel Vanhaeren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. FC Barracuda's Rens Hermans shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 7th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Johny Van Halbeeck but with some difficulty. In the 10th minute Remi Laeremans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johny Van Halbeeck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Arlon's goalkeeper Johny Van Halbeeck had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Basiel Vanhaeren. A collision led to Arlon getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Raf Geeraerts hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Arlon's zone, Remi Laeremans stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johny Van Halbeeck came out of the goal and Remi Laeremans tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Henry De Roeck's late challenge caught a Arlon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henry De Roeck helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to FC Barracuda getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Henry De Roeck hit a great ball. Basiel Vanhaeren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Johny Van Halbeeck made a huge save. In the 38th minute, Remi Laeremans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Henry De Roeck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Johny Van Halbeeck was a little too slow when Remi Laeremans got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andrew Devriendt made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Arlon's zone, Basiel Vanhaeren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johny Van Halbeeck came out of the goal and Basiel Vanhaeren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Johny Van Halbeeck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remi Laeremans in the 55th minute of the match. A collision led to Arlon getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Raf Geeraerts hit a great ball. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arlon's goalkeeper Johny Van Halbeeck, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Andrew Devriendt kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 70th match minute, FC Barracuda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remi Laeremans to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 73 minutes, Basiel Vanhaeren managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Barracuda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basiel Vanhaeren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Arlon defense, Remi Laeremans kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johny Van Halbeeck. The Arlon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johny Van Halbeeck should have stopped the shot. Josef Schautens's late challenge caught a Arlon's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Josef Schautens helped the player get up and apologised. Andrew Devriendt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Andrew Devriendt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arlon's Johny Van Halbeeck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Remi Laeremans in the 90th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Basiel Vanhaeren managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Barracuda's supporters rose to their feet, but Basiel Vanhaeren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Johny Van Halbeeck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in FC Barracuda's zone, Bartjan Deman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xander Robijns came out of the goal and Bartjan Deman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 97 minutes into the game, one of FC Barracuda:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. For all the effort they put into the match, the Arlon players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for FC Barracuda.
