KFC Moortsele's Octavian Bernardts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joannes Van Brusselen in the 8th minute of play. Ernest Ryers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Bernardts having to interfere. Octavian Bernardts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernest Ryers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind KFC Moortsele's goalkeeper Octavian Bernardts, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ernest Ryers might have been able to make a better finish in the 18th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Octavian Bernardts. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernest Ryers ran back to his position shaking his head. 18 minutes into the match, Joannes Van Brusselen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Octavian Bernardts. KFC Moortsele's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joannes Van Brusselen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Ernest Ryers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Joannes Van Brusselen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ernest Ryers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Bernardts having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kamiel Van Acker during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, KFC Moortsele's Kamiel Van Acker got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 35th minute Joannes Van Brusselen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Bernardts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rudi Van Landeghem to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 61st minute, Ernest Ryers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joannes Van Brusselen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Bernardts having to interfere. Ernest Ryers who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Octavian Bernardts when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 77th minute, Golden Pearl AFC's Ernest Ryers ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Octavian Bernardts. Octavian Bernardts yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Octavian Bernardts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joannes Van Brusselen, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 84th minute, Ernest Ryers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joannes Van Brusselen took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Octavian Bernardts. Octavian Bernardts dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Joannes Van Brusselen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Octavian Bernardts having to interfere.
