Ive Verhagen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cedric Van de Weijer, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Arnoud Vervoort recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 5 minutes into the match, RSC Anderlecht's goal looked a bit too open when Mattheo De Marrez came free, but Alfred Van Herck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 8th minute Cedric Van de Weijer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ive Verhagen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Arnoud Vervoort fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KFC Ipsvoorde's protests and gave Arnoud Vervoort a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th match minute, KFC Ipsvoorde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoud Vervoort to maneuver through the defense. Ive Verhagen made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Arthur-Maurits Thielemans sent off a good shot on target. Mattheo De Marrez blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alfred Van Herck having to make a save. 20 minutes into the game, KFC Ipsvoorde's Arnoud Vervoort nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfred Van Herck made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Mattheo De Marrez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Van Herck having to interfere. Arnoud Vervoort struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Alfred Van Herck didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KFC Ipsvoorde. Alfred Van Herck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mattheo De Marrez in the 26th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cedric Van de Weijer in the 28th minute of play forced KFC Ipsvoorde's goalkeeper Ive Verhagen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 31st minute of the match Arnauld Haelemans shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfred Van Herck showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Mattheo De Marrez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cedric Van de Weijer in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ive Verhagen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arnoud Vervoort fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Van Herck having to interfere. Mattheo De Marrez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Alfred Van Herck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mattheo De Marrez was the one to do the kick off. With 53 minutes on the clock, Bernt Ingelborgh commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 53rd minute of the game. One of RSC Anderlecht:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of KFC Ipsvoorde:s goal. After a rather tough play, RSC Anderlecht's Cedric Van de Weijer got a free kick in the 59th minute. KFC Ipsvoorde's Kurt Grootaers couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 60th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for RSC Anderlecht. Mattheo De Marrez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfred Van Herck having to interfere. RSC Anderlecht's Alfred Van Herck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattheo De Marrez in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Arnoud Vervoort made a precise shot to the right of Alfred Van Herck. RSC Anderlecht's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Kurt Grootaers hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Frederik Fouquet's late challenge caught a KFC Ipsvoorde's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frederik Fouquet helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to RSC Anderlecht getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Frederik Fouquet hit a great ball. Mattheo De Marrez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfred Van Herck read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, Denis Waterloos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RSC Anderlecht's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave KFC Ipsvoorde the free kick. Denis Waterloos hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. RSC Anderlecht's Alfred Van Herck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mattheo De Marrez in the 93rd minute of play. Alfred Van Herck made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Arnoud Vervoort sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattheo De Marrez in the 97th minute of play forced RSC Anderlecht's goalkeeper Alfred Van Herck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. RSC Anderlecht's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Mattheo De Marrez 98 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-4. The KFC Ipsvoorde players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
