After 15 minutes, Jerry Correyns mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KFC Marcinelle and the Breivelde players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, KFC Marcinelle's Jerry Correyns got a free kick in the 16th minute. 18 minutes into the game, Benjamin Dams recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tjorven Van den Panhuijsen. Benjamin Dams showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. In the 21st minute, Benjamin Dams fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tjorven Van den Panhuijsen, passed just outside the right post. If Klaus Iven had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alfred Netels showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Klaus Iven, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. A collision led to KFC Marcinelle getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Benjamin Dams hit a great ball. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind KFC Marcinelle's goalkeeper Alfred Netels, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 48th minute Tjorven Haeselaers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Netels saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

52 minutes into the game, Jerry Correyns cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Tjorven Van den Panhuijsen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Tjorven Haeselaers received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alfred Netels came out and tried to block the shot, but Tjorven Haeselaers slotted it home off the left post making it 4-1 in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herbert Devriendt in the 73rd minute of play forced Breivelde's goalkeeper Tjorven Van den Panhuijsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Breivelde's Tjorven Van den Panhuijsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herbert Devriendt in the 77th minute of play. Jorg Baecke didn't quite understand what happened when in the 82 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. After 86 minutes, Stijn Bouman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KFC Marcinelle and the Breivelde players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Tjorven Haeselaers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. KFC Marcinelle had won after a very even match.
