In the 21st match minute, Lasne was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Seveneijnts to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Lasne getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Joey Swinnen hit a great ball. After 26 played minutes Club Lichtelaar got a freekick which was hit by Guy Van Brussel. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jules Dauwe couldn't finish the play. The Lasne players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Club Lichtelaar were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cederik Hollandts was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Toon Cempenaers got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Phillipe Provoost was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Jacky Cortens capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jacky Cortens really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Phillipe Provoost took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacky Cortens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 86 minutes into the game, Jacky Cortens recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Phillipe Provoost. Jacky Cortens showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jules Dauwe got free with Phillipe Provoost in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With his leg Phillipe Provoost managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Club Lichtelaar's Jules Dauwe fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
