The KV Velvain fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when KV Velvain's Mattijs Vleminx looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Olliver Van Heurick made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinard Correyns in the 26th minute of play. Reinard Correyns struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Olliver Van Heurick didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KV Velvain. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Geordy Rosbach took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Erik De Clerk to make any attempt to save it. The crowd rose to their feet as Remy Engelberchs kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Erik De Clerk. That made the score 2-1 in the 36 minute of play. Erik De Clerk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remy Engelberchs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. KV Velvain were awarded a corner in the 46th minute after ZatteRené's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dean Pellegrims took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Dean Pellegrims got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Olliver Van Heurick quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.

In the 51st minute, Tristan Van den Panhuizen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 52nd minute, Ron Schrijns sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and KV Velvain's Erik De Clerk didn't even have to move. In the 53rd minute, Geordy Rosbach got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 55th minute, Geordy Rosbach left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The ZatteRené fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After 60 played minutes ZatteRené got a freekick which was hit by Maurice Airpoel. KV Velvain's Erik De Clerk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ryan Vandamme in the 77th minute of play. When Geordy Rosbach came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the ZatteRené fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Geordy Rosbach couldn't finish the play. Remy Engelberchs might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erik De Clerk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Remy Engelberchs ran back to his position shaking his head. When Geordy Rosbach, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 85 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Erik De Clerk was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Erik De Clerk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geordy Rosbach in the 88th minute of the match. Erik De Clerk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pieterjan Vissenakens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the KV Velvain players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for ZatteRené.
