Spectators: 6723 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Yens Deman kicked off to start the match. After some careless play in the Malegem defense, Mats Van der Weijden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alex Claes. The Malegem fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alex Claes should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Coba de Gymnasia's Stanny Van der Voert got control of the ball when Francois Delen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yens Deman in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alex Claes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Francois Delen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Stanny Van der Voert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Yens Deman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex Claes was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. A collision led to Malegem getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Wannes Van Den Wijngaert hit a great ball. In the 24th match minute, Coba de Gymnasia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mats Van der Weijden to maneuver through the defense. Stanny Van der Voert came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Malegem's Arnaud Portmans. But to his dismay, Arnaud Portmans quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Francois Delen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Stanny Van der Voert made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Yens Deman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alex Claes was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roy Pancken during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 40 minutes into the game, Charlie Gysens was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Coba de Gymnasia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Malegem the free kick. A collision led to Coba de Gymnasia getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Charlie Gysens hit a great ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Malegem's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Mats Van der Weijden 62 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. Malegem's Arnaud Portmans got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Francois Delen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mats Van der Weijden struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Alex Claes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Coba de Gymnasia. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yens Deman in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alex Claes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Yens Deman, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 80 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Alex Claes was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 86 minutes, Andreas Ravoet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malegem and the Coba de Gymnasia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 86th match minute, Malegem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andreas Ravoet to maneuver through the defense. When Gert Kempenaerts fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coba de Gymnasia's protests and gave Gert Kempenaerts a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd minute, one of Coba de Gymnasia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Coba de Gymnasia.
