R.B.Z.'s Arend Van Aertvinck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans van Elderen in the 28th minute of play. With 37 minutes on the clock, Frode Skogly commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Frode Skogly hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Viktor Biermans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Silvestre Quexal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Willem-Alexander Vandeput could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Arend Van Aertvinck made a huge save. De Tjippeneikes's Silvestre Quexal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Biermans in the 45th minute of play. De Tjippeneikes's Andreas Van Achter got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Arend Van Aertvinck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Van Achter in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andreas Van Achter in the 54th minute of play forced R.B.Z.'s goalkeeper Arend Van Aertvinck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jozef Van den Haute charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jozef Van den Haute the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jozef Van den Haute kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st match minute Lennert Raeimakers ran free in the middle of the field and shot a long shot which scored behind a totally surprised Silvestre Quexal. 1-2. After a rather tough play, R.B.Z.'s Manuel Jaspers got a free kick in the 64th minute. In the 75th minute Andreas Van Achter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arend Van Aertvinck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arend Van Aertvinck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andreas Van Achter, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. 83 minutes into the game, Jo Vrankx was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. De Tjippeneikes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave R.B.Z. the free kick. Jo Vrankx hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Manuel Jaspers managed to get in a good position for a shot. R.B.Z.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Jaspers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvestre Quexal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 94 minutes into the match, R.B.Z.'s goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Van Achter came free, but Arend Van Aertvinck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
