With his leg Gustave Wijns managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when R.B.Z.'s Manuel Jaspers fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loui Vereyt in the 89th minute of play forced R.B.Z.'s goalkeeper Arend Van Aertvinck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 93 minutes into the match, R.B.Z.'s goal looked a bit too open when Norbert Raedemaeckers came free, but Arend Van Aertvinck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Loui Vereyt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
