In the 6th minute, Dreas Sevenants ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christoph Van Baerlem was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 10th minute Gregorie Van Gestel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christoph Van Baerlem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Christoph Van Baerlem didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fre Ruelens went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Christoph Van Baerlem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gregorie Van Gestel, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Christoph Van Baerlem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yanniek Landewijck in the 17th minute of the match. Leon Van Laeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christoph Van Baerlem having to interfere. fc erpe-mere's Christoph Van Baerlem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gregorie Van Gestel in the 21st minute of play. A collision led to fc erpe-mere getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Daevy Roelants hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, Matthias Volle notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of fc erpe-mere's Christoph Van Baerlem. Christoph Van Baerlem was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, FC Wild Hogs's Fernand Voets got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 36thth minute of the game Fre Ruelens who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but fc erpe-mere's Christoph Van Baerlem was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 39th minute, Arno Stessel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute, Mattheo Decorte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christoph Van Baerlem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fre Ruelens in the 42nd minute of play. Christoph Van Baerlem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fre Ruelens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Filip Debruyn was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernand Voets in the 59th minute of play forced fc erpe-mere's goalkeeper Christoph Van Baerlem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, Fre Ruelens ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Christoph Van Baerlem was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. 65 minutes into the match, fc erpe-mere's goal looked a bit too open when Gregorie Van Gestel came free, but Christoph Van Baerlem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christoph Van Baerlem made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fre Ruelens in the 66th minute. 70 minutes into the match, fc erpe-mere's goalkeeper Christoph Van Baerlem had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gregorie Van Gestel. fc erpe-mere's Christoph Van Baerlem proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save fc erpe-mere from getting a goal against them. Christoph Van Baerlem made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Fre Ruelens sent off a good shot on target. Christoph Van Baerlem was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gregorie Van Gestel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 94 minute of play. In the 98th minute Gregorie Van Gestel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christoph Van Baerlem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match was over FC Wild Hogs could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than fc erpe-mere throughout the match.
