The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the game, Memphis fc's Bjorn Ooms nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. In the 9thth minute of the game Bjorn Ooms who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KVSK Herstappe's Didier Van Gestel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Bjorn Ooms had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Memphis fc's Kent Imbreghts got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. KVSK Herstappe's Didier Van Gestel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 苏升耀 in the 21st minute of play. Jacobus Van Hove hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After 23rd play minutes Bjorn Ooms shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Didier Van Gestel and just under the crossbar into goal. When Memphis fc's Bjorn Ooms in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KVSK Herstappe's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Bjorn Ooms managed to get in a good position for a shot. Didier Van Gestel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Didier Van Gestel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bjorn Ooms went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Bjorn Ooms managed to get in a good position for a shot. Memphis fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Bjorn Ooms was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Didier Van Gestel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jannes De Geutter was extremely unlucky when he, in the 37th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The supporters of Memphis fc booed when KVSK Herstappe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johny Van Geertruyen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Didier Van Gestel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bjorn Ooms, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half Memphis fc were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jannes De Geutter was the one to do the kick off. Tobiasz Dabrowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th minute, Bjorn Ooms got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute Memphis fc were awarded a corner. Marten Olbrechts went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Memphis fc's corner Marten Olbrechts fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Didier Van Gestel quite easily take care of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bjorn Ooms in the 63rd minute of play forced KVSK Herstappe's goalkeeper Didier Van Gestel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Jannes De Geutter managed to get in a good position for a shot. KVSK Herstappe's supporters rose to their feet, but Jannes De Geutter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Senne Geijselinckx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bjorn Ooms got free with Didier Van Gestel in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Memphis fc's Senne Geijselinckx played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joppe Hylen in the 74th minute of play. After having played for 75 minutes, Johny Van Geertruyen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KVSK Herstappe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Johny Van Geertruyen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Memphis fc's Geert-Jan Ryers quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Jacobus Van Hove, made in the 80th minute of the game. Didier Van Gestel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bjorn Ooms's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. With his leg Didier Van Gestel managed to avoid a goal in the 87thth minute, when Memphis fc's Bjorn Ooms fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With a little luck, KVSK Herstappe's Didier Van Gestel got control of the ball when Bjorn Ooms tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 91 played minutes Memphis fc got a freekick which was hit by Tobiasz Dabrowski. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Jannes De Geutter managed to get in a good position for a shot. KVSK Herstappe's supporters rose to their feet, but Jannes De Geutter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Senne Geijselinckx breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The KVSK Herstappe fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Memphis fc were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
