The supporters of Zwartberg booed when Sint Haecht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niel Kloots didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 3 played minutes Zwartberg got a freekick which was hit by Danny Engelborgh. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giovanny Kortens in the 6th minute of play forced Zwartberg's goalkeeper Comunardo Rondinelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elia Vieri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Comunardo Rondinelli having to make a save. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Giovanny Kortens in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Comunardo Rondinelli saved Zwartberg from getting behind. In the 9th minute of the match Sint Haecht got a corner. Zwartberg's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bill Brabant ran over to the corner to take the kick. Arnoldas Paplauskas charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arnoldas Paplauskas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 11th match minute, Sint Haecht was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnoldas Paplauskas to maneuver through the defense. Roel Schouters took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Max Tubbackx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danny Engelborgh scored 1-0 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roel Schouters, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Comunardo Rondinelli came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Sint Haecht's Giovanny Kortens. But to his dismay, Giovanny Kortens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Danny Engelborgh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Roel Schouters tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Giovanny Kortens to strike the kick off in the second half. Comunardo Rondinelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bill Brabant in the 52nd minute of the match. Yves Verduyckt kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Bill Brabant got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 56th minute, Giovanny Kortens left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sint Haecht fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Henry Reiniers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Comunardo Rondinelli having to interfere. Comunardo Rondinelli was a little too slow when Giovanny Kortens got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 1-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karl Neesens got free with Comunardo Rondinelli in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 70 minutes into the match, Zwartberg's goal looked a bit too open when Karl Neesens came free, but Comunardo Rondinelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Sint Haecht's Comunardo Rondinelli threw himself towards the right post 71 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Giovanny Kortens, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Comunardo Rondinelli made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Bill Brabant sent off a good shot on target. Comunardo Rondinelli was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Giovanny Kortens showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-6 in the 75 minute of play. Sint Haecht made a substitution. Sylvain Van der Loock replaced Bill Brabant. Sylvain Van der Loock could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Comunardo Rondinelli made a huge save. Karl Neesens's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Comunardo Rondinelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Karl Neesens took a quick shot and it went in 1-7 without a chance for Comunardo Rondinelli to make any attempt to save it. Marco Luirink struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Roel Schouters didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zwartberg. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Comunardo Rondinelli successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Sint Haecht's Karl Neesens got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute, Sylvain Van der Loock hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 93 played minutes Zwartberg got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Van De Wyngaert. When the match was over Sint Haecht could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Zwartberg throughout the match.
