Spectators: 7499 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Christof Bellinkx took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute Dominick Ravoet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yvan Verstraeten saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abraham Cappels's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 6thth minute, Lars Gilis skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Christof Bellinkx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lars Gilis having to interfere. Lars Gilis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christof Bellinkx in the 15th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Chiny's Robbin Verstraeten got a free kick in the 17th minute. Ian De Pauw hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. The supporters of Jonas en de walvis FC booed when Chiny was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian De Pauw didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yvan Verstraeten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernt Wauters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Jonas en de walvis FC booed when Chiny was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robbin Verstraeten didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bernt Wauters received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Yvan Verstraeten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abraham Cappels recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 29th minute, Ian De Pauw hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonas en de walvis FC's Bernt Wauters got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Jonas en de walvis FC's zone, Abraham Cappels stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lars Gilis came out of the goal and Abraham Cappels tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Christof Bellinkx's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lars Gilis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. 44 minutes in the game, Abraham Cappels fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Lars Gilis having to interfere. When Corneel Roggen fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jonas en de walvis FC's protests and gave Corneel Roggen a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th minute, Corneel Roggen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bernt Wauters to strike the kick off in the second half. Jonas en de walvis FC's Lars Gilis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christof Bellinkx in the 58th minute of play. After 63 played minutes Chiny got a freekick which was hit by Ian De Pauw. Yvan Verstraeten acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 64th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Binjamin De Beer. Bernt Wauters recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 71 minutes, Robbin Verstraeten mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chiny and the Jonas en de walvis FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernt Wauters in the 78th minute of play forced Chiny's goalkeeper Yvan Verstraeten to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Chiny getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Ian De Pauw hit a great ball. Ian De Pauw received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Lars Gilis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Anthony Bauwmans kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Yvan Verstraeten. That made the score 0-1 in the 84 minute of play. Yvan Verstraeten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernt Wauters, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Abraham Cappels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Lars Gilis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Chiny supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Jonas en de walvis FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Jonas en de walvis FC.
