Spectators: 7298 (Terracing: 5583, Seating: 1712, VIP seats: 3) Vrede's Olivier Sustens started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Kevin Van der Sande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vrede's Hugo Geerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francis De Meyer in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramon Leroy in the 8th minute of play forced Vrede's goalkeeper Hugo Geerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Perk's Constant Bruyninckx proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Perk from getting a goal against them. After 11 played minutes Vrede got a freekick which was hit by Thys Van Linthaudt. Hugo Geerts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francis De Meyer in the 15th minute of play. Olivier Sustenss short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Constant Bruyninckx to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hugo Geerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kenny Bossuyt in the 20th minute of the match. When Kevin Van der Sande fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vrede's protests and gave Kevin Van der Sande a yellow card for diving instead. Kevin Van der Sande kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The supporters of Perk booed when Vrede was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robbie Bellinkx didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Kenny Bossuyt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Hugo Geerts was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Piet De Vorster was extremely unlucky when he, in the 37th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Perk's goalkeeper Constant Bruyninckx, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tony Boegaert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Olivier Sustens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Constant Bruyninckx having to interfere. If Olivier Sustens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Perk were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ramon Leroy was the one to do the kick off. Olivier Sustens scored 1-1 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Constant Bruyninckx, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Robbie Bellinkx fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Constant Bruyninckx having to interfere. In the 59th minute Thys Van Linthaudt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constant Bruyninckx saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Constant Bruyninckx took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olivier Sustens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Francis De Meyer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Hugo Geerts made a huge save. After some careless play in the Vrede defense, Francis De Meyer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hugo Geerts. The Vrede fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hugo Geerts should have stopped the shot. Hugo Geerts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ramon Leroy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
