To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 18 minutes into the match, Montleban's Lars Van Bockorst sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Balthazar Van den Bergh narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 20th minute Lars Van Bockorst shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Balthazar Van den Bergh saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tibau Van den Dries sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tibau Van den Dries in the 29thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Jerry Imberechts's late challenge caught a Malonne's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jerry Imberechts helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Montleban getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Jerry Imberechts hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Christopher Denys's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joonatan Van Cauwenbergh was relentless in the 55th minute of the game.
