Spectators: 7422 (Terracing: 5567, Seating: 1707, VIP seats: 148) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Luk De Koq got the match started through his kick off. Wilfried Leempoels kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. The supporters of Dinant booed when Sterrebeek was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tommas De Roest didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Martial Leers notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Sterrebeek's João Carneiro. João Carneiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 26th minute, Martial Leers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dinant fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Luk De Koq had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Dinant were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Robbie Volckaerts made a kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match, Luk De Koq tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but João Carneiro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 54th minute Luk De Koq shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Carneiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Carneiro made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Martial Leers sent off a good shot on target. After 62 minutes, Gregoire Struijf mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dinant and the Sterrebeek players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Gregoire Struijf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see Sterrebeek's Joris Mallecots in action when he in the 64th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! A collision led to Sterrebeek getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Joel Van Looy hit a great ball. João Carneiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martial Leers in the 70th minute. Martial Leers did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-3 to the left of a surprised João Carneiro 71 minutes into the match. 75 minutes into the match, Sterrebeek's goalkeeper João Carneiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martial Leers. Robbie Volckaerts's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Laurend Huyghebaert read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Robbie Volckaerts sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Martial Leers in the 86thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of João Carneiro, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Joel Van Looy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Luk De Koq might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Carneiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luk De Koq ran back to his position shaking his head. Sterrebeek's João Carneiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Sterrebeek from getting a goal against them. The Sterrebeek supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Dinant's performance. The match ended with a win for Dinant.
