SC Fernelmont's Mathieux De Mare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kieth Diependaele in the 3rd minute of play. Mathieux De Mare took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Van Den Poel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 10th minute, Emanuel Van Den Poel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SC Fernelmont's Mathieux De Mare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geoffry Machiels in the 12th minute of play. The supporters of SV Athos booed when SC Fernelmont was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tijs Conincx didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mathieux De Mare made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emanuel Van Den Poel in the 16th minute of play. SC Fernelmont's Mathieux De Mare played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geoffry Machiels in the 17th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Fernelmont's zone, Geoffry Machiels stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mathieux De Mare came out of the goal and Geoffry Machiels tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 20thth minute of the game Marnix Struijf who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SV Athos's Ray Enfant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Raf Van den Berge lost his temper 22 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 22 minutes into the game, one of SV Athos:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ray Enfant went to the wrong direction when Stanny Schellekens was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. SV Athos's Ray Enfant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Steckens in the 27th minute of play. Ray Enfant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marnix Struijf in the 29th minute of play. Ray Enfant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marnix Struijf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 35 minutes, Leon Steckens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Fernelmont and the SV Athos players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Fernelmont's Leon Steckens got a free kick in the 35th minute. 44 minutes into the match, SV Athos's goal looked a bit too open when Marnix Struijf came free, but Ray Enfant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marnix Struijf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ray Enfant having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geoffry Machiels stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Geoffry Machiels got free with Mathieux De Mare in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in SV Athos's zone, Marnix Struijf stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ray Enfant came out of the goal and Marnix Struijf tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 57th minute, Kieth Diependaele hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marnix Struijf took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ray Enfant. Ray Enfant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. After 68 minutes, Stanny Schellekens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Fernelmont and the SV Athos players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to SC Fernelmont getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Stanny Schellekens hit a great ball. When Matthieu Van Gysel came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the SC Fernelmont fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthieu Van Gysel couldn't finish the play. In the 75th match minute, SV Athos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pieterjan Verhasselt to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, Stanny Schellekens sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SV Athos's Ray Enfant didn't even have to move. If Geoffry Machiels had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Geoffry Machiels might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mathieux De Mare. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geoffry Machiels ran back to his position shaking his head. If Matthieu Van Gysel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. SV Athos's Ray Enfant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthieu Van Gysel in the 89th minute of play. Ray Enfant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marnix Struijf, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 95thth minute of the game Marnix Struijf who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SV Athos's Ray Enfant was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the SV Athos defense, Marnix Struijf kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ray Enfant. The SV Athos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ray Enfant should have stopped the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the SV Athos players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Fernelmont.
