After having played for 3 minutes, Laurend De Koq managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VijfentwintigZeven's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laurend De Koq was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Axell Van Aertvinck's late challenge caught a VijfentwintigZeven's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Axell Van Aertvinck helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th minute, Axell Van Aertvinck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Laurend De Koq had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Richey Cremers came free with the goalkeeper in the 21st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jelle Ramps could save by the left post. When Jon Verhasselt fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored VijfentwintigZeven's protests and gave Jon Verhasselt a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Hody booed when VijfentwintigZeven was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jon Verhasselt didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Bobby Streels dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jelle Ramps, 1-1. 30 minutes into the match, VijfentwintigZeven's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Vissenaeckens came free, but Jelle Ramps reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hody's Abel Vermeesch got a free kick in the 33rd minute. 39 minutes into the match, Hody's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Neys came free, but Hans Bastin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jelle Ramps didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marco Van hoegaerde went, in the 41st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Hody's Richey Cremers got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jelle Ramps made an important save on a dangerous shot by Richey Cremers in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

In the 57th minute, Laurend De Koq got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Hody's goal looked a bit too open when Laurend De Koq came free, but Hans Bastin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64thth minute of the game Laurend De Koq who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hody's Hans Bastin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Laurend De Koq fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Bastin having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Hody's zone, Andy Neys stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hans Bastin came out of the goal and Andy Neys tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jelle Ramps made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roger Vissenaeckens in the 73rd minute of play. In the 76th minute, Bobby Streels made a precise shot to the right of Jelle Ramps. VijfentwintigZeven's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Andy Neys struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Hans Bastin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VijfentwintigZeven. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richey Cremers in the 83rd minute of play forced VijfentwintigZeven's goalkeeper Jelle Ramps to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute Roger Vissenaeckens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jelle Ramps saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the game, Andy Neys cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-3. Hans Bastin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Andy Neys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hans Bastin was a little too slow when Andy Neys got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 3-4. The Hody supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching VijfentwintigZeven's performance. The match ended with a win for VijfentwintigZeven.
