Spectators: 7428 (Terracing: 5572, Seating: 1708, VIP seats: 148) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Conrad Focquier kicked off to start the match. The supporters of FC Affligem booed when Milanese was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albertus Van Hoof didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 4 played minutes, FC Affligem's Tommi Gobeleyns shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Emile Jansens came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Affligem reached it. Emile Jansens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Richy Coppens in the 6th minute of play. Emile Jansens showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Conrad Focquier in the 11th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the match, Milanese's goal looked a bit too open when Conrad Focquier came free, but Emile Jansens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Richy Coppens had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emile Jansens. Milanese's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Richy Coppens was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 22 minutes into the match, Milanese's goal looked a bit too open when Thobias Poets came free, but Emile Jansens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Laurenz Geerts was a little too slow when Anton Van Hoyvelt got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 1-1. If Samuel Vandenberge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alain Verduijn during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Goffrey Humblets struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Laurenz Geerts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Milanese. Laurenz Geerts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Samuel Vandenberge's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. In the 41st minute Samuel Vandenberge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurenz Geerts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Samuel Vandenberge to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Goffrey Humblets in the 52nd minute of play forced FC Affligem's goalkeeper Laurenz Geerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Conrad Focquier in the 54th minute of play forced Milanese's goalkeeper Emile Jansens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conrad Focquier hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 68th minute, Anton Van Hoyvelt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laurenz Geerts was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The referee felt a red card was in order, 72 minutes into the game, when Dimitri De Pauw put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 72nd minute of the game. One of Milanese:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Affligem:s goal. FC Affligem's Conrad Focquier got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82nd minute Goffrey Humblets shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurenz Geerts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the game, Jonas De Jaeger cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Laurenz Geerts was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Anton Van Hoyvelt hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. 89 minutes into the match, Alain Verduijn notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of Milanese's Emile Jansens. Emile Jansens was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Laurenz Geerts stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Goffrey Humblets's shot from short distance in the 94th minute. Milanese were awarded a corner in the 96th minute after FC Affligem's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Sammy Van Hooveldt took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Sammy Van Hooveldt got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Laurenz Geerts quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Goffrey Humblets in the 98th minute of play forced FC Affligem's goalkeeper Laurenz Geerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Milanese walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
