The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Henri-Xavier Baumans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Camiel Grootjans could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Yanniek Stevens made a huge save. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Rooi's goalkeeper Tobias De Keuster, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jean Theuniers kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After having played for 21 minutes, Henri-Xavier Baumans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Rooi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henri-Xavier Baumans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Camiel Grootjans fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yanniek Stevens having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Henri-Xavier Baumans managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Rooi's supporters rose to their feet, but Henri-Xavier Baumans was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yanniek Stevens breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 32ndth minute of the game Adam Van De Wyngaert who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Rooi's Tobias De Keuster was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Artuur Lingier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Oppernieuw's Alain Audenaert couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 38th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Club Rooi. 44 minutes into the match, Jean Theuniers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tobias De Keuster. Club Rooi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jean Theuniers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Club Rooi's Tobias De Keuster played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artuur Lingier in the 47th minute of play.

The wind increased when Artuur Lingier made the kick off in the second half. Ward Grootaerts hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute, Will Jongbloedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jean Theuniers kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Yanniek Stevens didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henri-Xavier Baumans went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Club Rooi getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Will Jongbloedt hit a great ball. Adam Van De Wyngaert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias De Keuster having to interfere. FC Oppernieuw's Laurens Verheije suffered a concussion in the 72nd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. After 72 minutes, Anthony Deckers mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club Rooi and the FC Oppernieuw players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adam Van De Wyngaert got free with Tobias De Keuster in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tobias De Keuster didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adam Van De Wyngaert went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Adam Van De Wyngaert kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After having played for 91 minutes, Henri-Xavier Baumans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Rooi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henri-Xavier Baumans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jean Theuniers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Oppernieuw's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
