Joey Van Steen made in the 42nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Tijs Wautiers however managed to control. 43 minutes into the match, Dessel Sport's goal looked a bit too open when Tijs Wautiers came free, but Jacky Simons reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute Matteo Van Gorpt suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Pieter-Maarten Van der Roost hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After the first half Dessel Sport were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Christoffel Van Hoegaerden made in the 86th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Jorg Blommaert immediately put the ball in play. Jacky Simons took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gertjan De Keuster, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucas Van Gheel made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Wart Ceusters sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Dessel Sport players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
