Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Bree's Burhan Altın started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. KFC Roeselare's Rik Peters played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Burhan Altın in the 3rd minute of play. A collision led to KFC Roeselare getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Frederic De Hont hit a great ball. Rik Peters stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Burhan Altın's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. When Stef Verheugen came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Bree fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stef Verheugen couldn't finish the play. 11 minutes into the match, Bree's goalkeeper Bjorn Suteweij had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andreas Reniers. With a little luck, Bree's Bjorn Suteweij got control of the ball when Joerie Tilemans tried to sneak it across the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, KFC Roeselare's Andreas Reniers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bjorn Suteweij made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in KFC Roeselare's zone, Burhan Altın stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rik Peters came out of the goal and Burhan Altın tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 23 played minutes KFC Roeselare got a freekick which was hit by Richmond Bourgeois. Richmond Bourgeois hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. If Stef Verheugen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Henri-Patrick De Smet kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bjorn Suteweij. That made the score 2-0 in the 32 minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Bree's goal looked a bit too open when Henri-Patrick De Smet came free, but Bjorn Suteweij reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bree's Bjorn Suteweij proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Bree from getting a goal against them. After 39 played minutes Bree got a freekick which was hit by Lex Strupar. KFC Roeselare's Henri-Patrick De Smet got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Burhan Altın had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Henri-Patrick De Smet to make the kick off. The supporters of KFC Roeselare booed when Bree was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lex Strupar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute, Richmond Bourgeois made a precise shot to the right of Bjorn Suteweij. Bree's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Patrick Van Meenen made in the 65th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Joerie Tilemans however managed to control. KFC Roeselare's Andreas Reniers got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 68 played minutes KFC Roeselare got a freekick which was hit by Henri-Patrick De Smet. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Burhan Altın managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bree's supporters rose to their feet, but Burhan Altın was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rik Peters breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. KFC Roeselare's Rik Peters proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save KFC Roeselare from getting a goal against them. In the 77thth minute of the game Henri-Patrick De Smet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bree's Bjorn Suteweij was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 81st minute, Joerie Tilemans got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Joerie Tilemans's late challenge caught a Bree's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joerie Tilemans helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th minute, Joerie Tilemans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henri-Patrick De Smet's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bjorn Suteweij read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. Richmond Bourgeois scored 4-0 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bjorn Suteweij, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
