Dennis Maes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dany Matthys, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Mellier sport's Dennis Maes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dany Matthys in the 9th minute of play. A collision led to Mellier sport getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Gill Buelens hit a great ball. Dennis Maes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jo Huytterhoeven, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the match, Jabbeke's goalkeeper Mathieu Herinckx had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stijn Van den Driesch. When Jabbeke's Jo Huytterhoeven in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mellier sport's goalie prevented a goal. Mitch Cooreman kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Jo Huytterhoeven recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jo Huytterhoeven in the 39th minute of play forced Mellier sport's goalkeeper Dennis Maes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jimmy Van Buyten fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mellier sport's protests and gave Jimmy Van Buyten a yellow card for diving instead. Dany Matthys's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dennis Maes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mellier sport's goalkeeper Dennis Maes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The wind increased when Niki Heremans made the kick off in the second half. After 57 minutes of play, Mellier sport's Stijn Van den Driesch made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mathieu Herinckx was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jo Huytterhoeven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dennis Maes having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Gill Buelens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jabbeke's Dany Matthys in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mellier sport's goalie prevented a goal. If Dany Matthys had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dany Matthys struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Dennis Maes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jabbeke. 73 minutes into the match, Jabbeke's goal looked a bit too open when Niki Heremans came free, but Mathieu Herinckx reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Mitch Cooreman came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Jabbeke fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mitch Cooreman couldn't finish the play. Jabbeke's Dany Matthys got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dennis Maes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dany Matthys, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, Mellier sport could leave the field as winners, despite Jabbeke having more of the ball for most of the match.
