Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Arend Elssen got the match started through his kick off. Senne Schipmans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Timothy Kempenaerts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Georges Wautiers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arend Elssen, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. A collision led to KFC Ruddervoorde getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Francis Coekx hit a great ball. In the 9th minute, Arend Elssen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Francis Coekx fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KFC Ruddervoorde's protests and gave Francis Coekx a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, KFC Ruddervoorde's Francis Coekx got a free kick in the 10th minute. Bruno Dekens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georges Wautiers having to interfere. Georges Wautiers made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arend Elssen in the 13th minute. Bruno Dekens hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. In the 33rdth minute of the game Arend Elssen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KFC Ruddervoorde's Georges Wautiers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 35 played minutes De Haan got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Van Dijck. 41 minutes had been played when some careless play by KFC Ruddervoorde's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Robben Bellinkx was slow to take the kick. During this time De Haan's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Robben Bellinkx got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Georges Wautiers quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. If Senne Schipmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind De Haan's goalkeeper Timothy Kempenaerts, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Senne Schipmans made a kick off. When De Haan's Arend Elssen in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KFC Ruddervoorde's goalie prevented a goal. After 59th play minutes Arend Elssen shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Georges Wautiers and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robben Bellinkx in the 66th minute of play forced KFC Ruddervoorde's goalkeeper Georges Wautiers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When De Haan's Arend Elssen in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye KFC Ruddervoorde's goalie prevented a goal. If Senne Schipmans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Senne Schipmans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Chris-George Pardons managed to get in a good position for a shot. KFC Ruddervoorde's supporters rose to their feet, but Chris-George Pardons was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Timothy Kempenaerts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Arend Elssen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Georges Wautiers was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Arend Elssen struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Georges Wautiers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for De Haan. KFC Ruddervoorde's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
